PNCC Explains Its Troubleshooting
Services: "We're Here to Help You"
November 5, 2007
PNCC has launched an educational effort this month, called "We're Here to help You,"
to inform customers about the various kinds of service
assistance provided by the
national communications corporation.
PNCC offers many different types of high-tech services, including local and long
distance telephone, digital mobile wireless, digital TV, and Internet access. Due
to the constantly changing technology, it's an ongoing learning process to fully
understand and utilize these services. There are several ways that customers can
get help.
The heart of the trouble-shooting services is 611, the phone number of the PNCC
Trouble Desk. 611 services are provided 24 hours a day 7 days a week to receive
any trouble reports for telephone, wireless, TV and Internet. During working hours,
PNCC staff help troubleshooting problems over the phone first, and then schedule
a technician to visit if needed. Reports are entered into PNCC's customer care tracking
system and are serviced in the order of calls received during the day. Trouble reports
after working hours and on weekends are processed by the next working day possible.
To report any problem on your PNCC services, simply dial 611. It's free of charge,
even from your cellphone.
"We value and truly appreciate it when customers call to report any kind of trouble,
because then we can solve the problem as soon as possible, "said Richard L. Misech,
Acting General Manager and Chief Technical Officer.
With the goal of utilizing the technology available to reach more customers, PNCC
recently launched a new website with an updated Customer Support section. Anyone
with Internet access can check this site anytime to search for answers to their
service questions in many FAQ's and User Guide. Just visit
www.palaunet.com which is available with no internet time charges when you
set your computer modem to dial into LocalNet at 762-7622.
The PNCC Telephone Directory is another useful resource. The front of the book is
called the "Information Pages" and publishes many user guides, plus handy references
such as a world time chart, the Palauan tide calendar, and international country
codes, including US area codes.
You can also pick up User Guides and FAQ's at the PNCC offices in Koror or Airai.
During November, PNCC is offering a 611 hand fan or refregirator magnet to customer
who pay a bill, sign up for a service, or purchase phone cards or equipment, while
supplies last. For more information, call PNCC at 488-9000 Monday through Friday
8am to 5pm, or 611 anytime.
