Winners of PNCC 26th Anniversary Photo and Art Contest

Palau National Communications Corporation (PNCC) is pleased to announce the winners
of the photo and art contest held recently as part of its 26th Anniversary celebration.
The two themes for the contest were “people using PNCC services” and “the full moon
in Palau”, since 2009 will be the International Year of Astronomy. First, second
and third prizes ($100, $75 and $50 worth of Airtime or Debusch cards) were given
for the best entries in each theme, and all others entering the contest received
a $10 Airtime card as a consolation prize.
Winners of the “Full Moon in Palau” theme are: Lorraine Tellei (first prize), Joy
Flores Whipps (second prize), and Wendy Capilli (third prize).
Winners of the “People Using PNCC Services” theme are: Floria Kambalang (first prize),
Vanesa Nulud (second prize), and Laydee Ngirmiriil (third prize).
All photos entered in the contest may be used in PNCC advertisements and customer
information materials such as the 2009 phone book cover.
“PNCC really appreciates the creativity of our customers who entered photos and
artwork in our 26th anniversary contest,” commented PNCC General Manager Richard
L. Misech.
PNCC was incorporated twenty-six years ago on August 23, 1982, with less than 200
customers. Telephone service was available only in Koror and Airai. Today, PNCC
serves more than 22,000 subscriptions with a full range of communications services
from Kayangel to Angaur, including local and long distance telephone, GSM mobile
wireless telephone, Internet, and digital television. .
